PLANT‑0029 PLANTER

The PLANT‑0029 planter presents a harmonious dialogue between organic form and engineered precision. Its gently bulbous silhouette evokes natural seed pods while maintaining a disciplined geometric vocabulary. The exterior is perforated by a rhythmic array of elongated oval apertures, each carefully calibrated to balance structural integrity with visual lightness. This patterning not only serves as an aesthetic lattice but also creates dynamic interplay of light and shadow, allowing the foliage to cast living filigree across surrounding surfaces. The planter’s matte finish absorbs glare and accentuates the tactile relief of its contours, inviting users to engage both visually and kinesthetically.
 
Conceptually, PLANT‑0029 embodies the symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature in contemporary interiors. How are the planter made?

Modern 3D printing technology is used to produce the KAWAIR 3DESIGN planter.

This is how the extraordinary and delicate structure of the planter can be created - while at the same time being very light. We paid particular attention to sustainability and quality when it came to the material used. - a bio-plastic made from corn starch - we have paid particular attention to sustainability and quality.


What material are the planter made of?

The 3D planter from KAWAIR 3DESIGN are made of polylactide (PLA for short), which is also colloquially known as polylactic acid and is often referred to as  ''o-plastic''. PLA is made up of lactic acid molecules that are created during the fermentation of corn starch or sugar cane.

Although PLA does not grow on trees or bushes and is therefore produced synthetically, it is biodegradable due to its ingredients and is therefore a great alternative to non-degradable plastic with similar properties.



Why are high temperatures damaging the planter?

If the planter is exposed to high temperatures (e.g. in direct sunlight behind a window), the material can lose stability, causing the planter to warp. A series of tests carried out over a few weeks came to the conclusion that this can happen , but does not happen in every case.

However, we expressly point out that there is a possibility that the planter can deform at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.



Can I put water in the planter ?

The 3D printed planter itself is not waterproof due to its manufacturing process, and water may seep out from the planter. We recommend using this planter for displaying dried flowers.
